Ventilation

Cargo containers are outfitted standard with small pressure vents to allow the unit to breathe, but often times that is not enough to create ventilation inside the unit, especially in environments where temperatures fluctuate drastically. Our modification experts can install various types of ventilation products customized to your specific requirements. Standard ventilation products include flat side vents that vary in size. They are louvered, and provide sufficient aeration for certain applications. Another common vent is the turbine vent, which protrudes from the ceiling and wind naturally forces airflow through the container. As always, ask your sales rep about ventilation, as this can be a crucial aspect to the functionality of your custom container.

Exhaust Vents

Exhaust fans can be installed to either push or pull air from the container. Typical exhaust fans are either solar electric or electric wired. Exhaust fans are available in a wide range of sizes and costs depending on your application.

Framed Louvered Vents

Framed louvered vents are a very popular modification and do an excellent job circulation air and will eliminate interior condensation as outside temperature changes much faster then the interior temperature. Container Alliance louvered vents come with steel frames and are welded into place. We can place them high or low on the container. Call us for recommendations based on your needs

Turbine Vents

Turbine vents are designed to spin freely with the slightest breeze, creating a vacuum that draws air out from inside your shipping container. No electricity is required. All that is necessary is to mount the turbine vents on your roof away from wind obstructions. Container Alliance turbine vents are 99% water tight and we can add rodent screens and security bars as well. Additionally, our steel exhaust fans have a galvanized finish for added corrosion resistance.

We recommend inspecting your turbine vents a few times a year to make sure they are functioning properly
